hello this is jaystepher here with another lego tutorial on how to build a lego gourmet kitchen with a center island, and a two-basin sink. okay here is the room that we're gonna to be putting our kitchen or a section of the room. i got a window here and a floor. and this kitchen is ... the interior is 19 by 19 studs. so where do we start putting in our appliances at? well i'm going to take this door. i'm going to make this as a fridge. i'm going to set this probably about there.

here's my white oven. put that about there. i'm going to make a sink. i'm going to put it under the window. so i'm just going to sit that block there. and i'm going to put a breakfast bar right about here. and i'll use that for an island. i'll set this here. that looks good. so, where do i start from here? the first thing we're going to do, i would put the island in first which is a 4 by 4 red plate. you can use anything you want because this is all going to be hidden.

i choose red because it's easier to show up on a camera. i'm just going to press this down here. it's kind of like that. let's pull out all of this stuff because now we don't need it anymore. we just wanted to use those for guides where we want to put everything. i'm going to start off with a 2 by 10 red plate. i'm going to stick it here in the corner. kind of get that pushed down. and i'm going to take this 1 by 2 red plate, stick it here.

a 2 by 6 red plate. here is another 2 by 6 red plate. i'm going to put it and start on this wall here. a 2 by 4 red plate. a 2 by 3. here's a 1 by 2 plate. we'll put that over here on this side. and we're going to be using a 2 by 10 for our bar. we'll put that right here. and there you have it. there's our kitchen layout. see it looks nice and big. a mini-fig can fit in here so far.

so the next thing we're going to do is we're going to put the tile in. i'm just going to use these dark grey tiles. different sizes. so i have a 1 by 2, 2 by 2 grey and a 1 by 1 grey. so what i'm going to do is i'm going to start with a 1 by 1 grey because i do have five studs here which we .. you know that's okay so i'm going to start off over here. put this 1 by 1 tile in here. and i'm just going to start going in, tiling the floor in this corner.

work my way out. so it kind of looks like that. so let me get started on all the tiling. okay i got my floor laid in. it looks really good. now you can see the layout of the kitchen. we're going to start putting in our cabinets. first thing were going to start in this corner right here. so i'm going to take two of these 2 by 2 red blocks. i'm going to stack one on top of the other. we're going to start our cabinet right here. and now we're going to start placing in cabinets.

one of the things i'm going to is i'm going to put maybe a cupboard here. i'm just going to set these in. the sink's going to go here so i'm going to use this again. maybe put some drawers here. maybe over here, i'll going to put a cupboard. put in a stove here. and maybe a set of drawers right here. my fridge. some more drawers.

it's start looking like a kitchen now. now note that i'm still setting this in here. i'm not pressing them down or anything because i want to keep everything floating in here. i'm probably going to set these drawers right here. maybe another set of drawers here. i like having lots of drawers in my kitchen. put a cupboard here, and maybe one here. and there we have it. that's kind of where i want to go. so i'm going to pull out the fridge,

and start pushing down these cabinets. push down the oven. the oven's going to be in there. so start just setting these down. take that out of there. we don't need that be cause the sink's coming up next. now here we got a corner here. so we're going to do id we're going to take two more of these 2 by 2 red blocks, stack them on top. set them in the corner here. it looks like that. keep pressing all these down. there we go. okay the sink i'm going to be building is going to be a sink with two basins in it.

so i'll show you how to build that. i'm just going to take a 2 by 4 red plate and some of these studs with the ... blocks with the stud on the front. i'm going to need four of those, and i'm going to stick them on here like this. now i'm going to come in and i'm going to take a 1 by 4 red block, i'm going to place it behind here. and what we're going to is we're going to take two of these 1 by 2 white tiles. i'm going to place one on here. they kind of look like drawer fronts. so let's place another one of these on here. kind of looks like that. and now we're going to be building the actual sink.

so i'm going to take two of these 1 by 4 white plates. i'm going to stack them one on top of the other. set it on top of this. now i'm going to need to of these 1 by 2 plates with the one stud on top. just put them on here. there you go. you're going to need four of these corner wall element pieces. kind of stick them on here like this to make two sink basins

or a double sink. there you go. now we're going to put faucets. so i'm going to take this 1 x 3 grey, it's actually a light grey plate, i'm going to place it on here. and i'm going to need two of these plates. i'm going to need a ... these are round plates. one red, one blue. stick my blue one right here, and the red one here for knobs for my hot and cold.

and i'm going to take one of these spigots, put it on here. there we go. there's my faucet. there's my sink. we'll just stick it here by the window. there you have it. there's our sink. okay the next part we're going to be doing is putting in our upper cabinets in our kitchen. so the one thing we're going to start with is in the corner here.

i'm just going to take one of these wall element corners. we're going to place this in here. kind of like our back splash. and we're gonna take several of these wall elements that have the top in here. this is going to hold our upper cabinets. i'm going to start placing these around the edge here. i don't have a lot of these so i'm just putting them together. so we're gonna get a nice cool way to attach our upper cabinets. i'm going to put one more here,

and there we have it. i'm still going to need a few more of these. so i'm going to stick them right here where the fridge is going to go. if it wants to get in there. so we're going to take some more of these little corner pieces and just going to keep sticking them around here like this to give ourselves that back splash. stick some of these 1 by 2 wall elements we're just going to put them up in here.

if you have more of these, you're lucky. i only have, i think, six. i'm not sure ... three, four, five six. yeah i only have six. so that's just enough for me to finish this job, where we kind of have a back splash like that. now, this next part is pretty straight forward. we're just going to simply come in here and start tiling the rest of our counter tops. so let's get started on that. okay, i'm pretty much almost done except, if you noticed, i left this here open on purpose. i'm going to take some of these 2 by 2 white smooth tiles. i'm going to stick them here and leave them hanging over.

this will give us our nice breakfast bar. it's pretty sturdy. and i'm going to need several of these. five, actually in total to finish up my breakfast bar. and one smaller 1 by 2 tile to fit in the corner there. so now i got this nice beautiful breakfast bar that i can eat at. now we're ready to start our upper cabinets. okay just like our lower cabinets, we'regonna start here in this corner. so we're going to take two of these 2 by 2 red blocks. stick them on top of each other.

place it here in the corner. you have to wiggle it in there. there you go. now we're ready to place our cabinets. so we're just going to start using these lips here to attaching our cabinets to all this stuff. now we're looking like a kitchen. as you can see i'm just putting in cabinets where they look good. i'm also checking the doors. the way the doors open. so put our cabinet right here.

looks good. now the next thing we're going to be putting in is our refrigerator. so what we're going to do is take our door. take one of these 1 by 4 white bricks. place it on top. and we're going to take four of these dark grey 1 by 1 blocks on the front, and we're going to stick four of these on the front of this. take two of these grille pieces, they're dark grey, place them on the front. there we have it. we have a built-in refrigerator.

we're just basically going to come in here, sit this down, open that up. there we go, we got a nice fridge. we're getting really close. i'm also going to stick these black grilles here on my stove. i forgot to put those in there. i'll just set those in there now. we're almost done. so let's get started on getting these cabinets up here tiled, and put our hood in there for our stove. okay so the first thing we're going to start with is tiling the top of our cabinets right here. this is where our roof is going to sit. the place i like to start at is right here in this corner.

this also start holding out cabinets up against the wall here to keep them square. so let's start taking some tiles, place them along the edge. and i'm running into a part where i need to put in a hood. so i'm just going to take one of these 2 by 2 by 2 sloped roof pieces. i'm going to stick it right here. stick a tile. something like so. we got a nice hood.

if you have a grey oven, i would use one of these grey ones. if you have a red, ... you know, kind of make it match. i just used white because it looks better. and we're just going to keep continuing on tiling the top of this. just make sure everything is lined up. now we got one more thing left and that's to build the island for our kitchen. so there's several ways we can do this. i ran out of cabinets so i can't put anymore down here. so what i'm going to do is i'm going to get a little creative. kind of make my own cabinets. i'm going to take four of these red eyelets, i'm going to stack two on top of each other like that.

set them like this. of course you can't see but i'm going to put them right here. let me zoom in. two more. now let's start building the actual structure of our island. we're just going to come in here and take some 2 by 3 .... take 2 of these 1 by 3 plates, we're just going to place them inside here like that. take a 1 by 2 plate, stick it in here like that. and one other thing we're going to do is we're going to start placing in more plates.

a 1 by 4 here ... yeah a 1 by 4 red, and two 1 by 2s here to give you the thing. now the reason why i'm building up with plates at first is because i'm going to stick solid blocks in here. so i'm going to take a 1 by 4 red block, and two 1 by 2 blocks and place them in here where it kind of looks like that. there's our bar i mean island,

and let me zoom out. now we're going to need to cover the top of this with something. let's just take some of these 1 by 4 plates, stick them in here. now we're going to start with the ... front of the ... these things .we're going to make these look like drawers. so we're going to take some of these 1 by 1 smooth tiles, they're white. i'm going to stick them on here to look like drawer fronts.

i'm just going to need four of those in total. i'm just going to start putting them on the front of these knob pieces. there we go. now we're ready to out our counter top on here. so, i'm just going to take some of these 1 by 4 smooth tiles, just start placing them on here. now i got a cool storage for some pots and pans. there's our island. it looks really good. it looks realistic. mini-figures can fit in it. i got a construction worker. he just got done with the lego kitchen. he can fit in here nicely. it's the right height for him. plenty of room to move around.

so, it's pretty fun. this is really cool. that is my lego gourmet kitchen! thanks for watching!
